We are chefs and chalet hosts. We are budget-planning masters and time-management gurus. We are recruiters. We are people experts.

Everyone who works at The Mountain Cookery School has worked in the mountains themselves – so we all have a unique understanding of what it’s like to be thrown in at the deep end of independence, with the responsibility of work on top (be it cooking for discerning ski guests or getting that 5000-word essay in on time). We’ve all experienced the work-hard / play-hard adventure that life as a season worker, a student or a school leaver entails – and we’ve lived to tell the tale!

As experts in alpine cuisine, we now work directly with the UK’s largest independent ski tour operator – so we know exactly what skills ski companies are looking for when they recruit seasonal staff. And because our school is based in one of Europe’s most popular ski resorts, the cookery course outline has been specifically crafted to equip aspiring season workers with everything (both in and out of the kitchen) they need to know.
